About the practice
Feeling overwhelmed or stuck? I can support you in a process of living life in deeper connection and aliveness with yourself and others. Using present moment experience, we work together to invite curiosity about yourself and how you relate with others. In this way, you can learn to set boundaries, expand your emotional capacity, as well as give and receive love more deeply. My presence is personable, responsive, and playful. I encourage authentic expression, awareness, and embodiment. I know how to support and to give constructive feedback. I am holistic in my approach. My primary therapeutic modes are relational and somatic (mind and body unified). I have a Masters in Somatic Psychology from CIIS in San Francisco. I am trained in Hakomi, a mindfulness-based therapy. My work is also informed by my background in dance, yoga, and massage. I counsel adults, couples, and children in all areas including trauma (developmental and/or event-related), anxiety, depression, grief, chronic health conditions, sexuality, sexual orientation, personal growth, relationship issues, and life transitions. I welcome diversity in all its forms. My Oakland office is in the Piedmont/Lake Merritt area. I also have an office in Berkeley and Walnut Creek. I offer an affordable income-based sliding scale fee.
