Anjuli Mahendra, LMT: Integrated Bodywork/Coaching
About the practice
Anjuli Mahendra’s Embodied Resonance practice is an integrated form of structural bodywork focusing on elongating the connective tissue with slow, deep strokes. Her practice is informed by traditional healing arts systems including Thai, Shiatsu, and Taoist forms. Anjuli's therapeutic, intuitive touch has been helping people work through acute physical/emotional imbalances as well as deep-seated, chronic ailments. In addition to working in the connective tissue and muscular fields of the body to restore alignment, she also tunes intothe energetic field, encouraging clients to listen to their inner state of being. Anjuli's coaching practice is often in conjunction with a bodywork session. In this work, we focus on getting clear about the client's values, goals, and intentions. Together we co-create pathways to move towrads these goals with visualization and meditation tools, as well as other sadhanas(practices) to bring the client into alignment with their priorities. In addition to bodywork and coaching, Anjuli has also been teaching yoga and movement for over 10 years. Her strongest influences have been yoga, contact improvisation, butoh, and authentic movement, which she blends into her offerings. In the Bay area and beyond, she teaches partner yoga, dance journeys, and movement meditation. Her signature Embodied Resonance worksops offer students a place to explore a deeper awareness of inner state, creating a container for healing and growth, heightened listening, and expanded perspective.
